WHSmith to roll out Coffee House brand

WHSmith is planning to convert all of their 17 existing cafes in to Coffee House venues, based in hospitals, stations and airports. The announcement follows a successful trial of the grab-and-go offering which the stationer trailed in 5 hospital locations, where they served hot drinks sandwiches and pastries. Coffee House is part of the company’s ‘Travel’ division, where profits rose 9% in the first 6 months of its financial year. The UK coffee shop market is predicted to be worth over £15bn by 2020, with over 30,000 outlets nationwide!
