Victoria Beckham selling stake in her eponymous fashion business

According to reports, Victoria Beckham is possible selling a stake of her premium womenswear brand to luxury conglomerate LVMH, the famous French fashion house. She met with Pierre-Yves Roussel, Head of the LVMH Fashion Group recently, however, both have denied an acquisition.

The acquisition makes a lot of sense. The brand has an attractive level of growth, with sales that doubled in 2012 to 2013, from £15.76M to £30.39M, and it has won the approval of the fashion world. Victoria was also named the most successful entrepreneur of 2014 by Management Today. If it were to go ahead, it would put the VK brand alongside the likes of Givenchy, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, which are all encompassed under the LVMH umbrella and would allow the potential to expand into other product categories and other endless options…
