Dyson’s second standalone store worldwide is planned to open in London’s Oxford Street before the end of the year. It is reported that a year’s rent will be around £1m. The technology giant is planning to open in late November in an attempt to capitalise on Christmas trade. The shop’s format will be similar to Apple’s, offering staff in store to assist with technology and give advice to customers. In addition to vacuum cleaners, they will sell a range of lifestyle lines, including their fans and hair dryers.
It’s reported by Retail Week that the technology giant is wanting to raise its portfolio to include around half a dozen stores globally, with London pinpointed as is key market to enter. They currently trade in over 70 countries.
