Superdry owner SuperGroup revealed a 15% increase in retail like-for-like sales in the quarter ending October 24th as group revenues for the half increased by 22.4% to £254.9m. They also appointed a Global Retail Director, Nick Tatum, who will strengthen their retail operations and logistics. They have said this hire completes the recruitment of its executive team. Tatum joins from Tesco.
During their first half, SuperGroup’s wholesale division recorded 8% growth, bringing in new revenue from its North American operations and improving growth in its core franchise business. They opened 14 new stores, 11 of which were outside the UK and Republic of Ireland. Their new retail space contributed 14.1% sales growth over the period.
