Stanislas de Quercize, Chief Executive Officer of Cartier, resigns from his position and will be replaced by Cyrille Vigneron, the current President of LVMH Japan. Cartier’s parent company, Compagnie Financière Richemont, said de Quercize requested to leave his role and the group management committee “for personal reasons”. This change is effective immediately. De Quercize will remain as a group executive, taking over the role of Chairman on Richemont France.
Vigneron has worked with Richemont before, from 1988 to 2013. He worked chiefly with Cartier, becoming Managing Director of Cartier Japan, President of Richemont Japan and then Managing Director of Cartier Europe. He will take on his new role January 1 2016. He will be a member of the group management committee and will be nominated for election to the board of directors in September 2016. Vigneron has had an excellent career, working with Cartier, Montblanc and Alfred Dunhill.
