Sainsbury’s clothing brand Tu revealed that it has been successfully trading online since the launch of its ecommerce site in August. Their clothing sales grew almost 13% in the 16 weeks to September 26, exceeding its total retail sales, including fuel, which totalled 0.3%.
Their back-to-school range was a success, selling over 640,000 boys’ trousers from its school uniform range. They also introduced two new ranges, Retro and Gold, from men’s sportswear brand Admiral, into 90 stores from July ’15.
They are making progress with delivering their strategy in a challenging market.
