Pokémon GO has launched in the UK! The mobile game has millions of people running from location to location and is set to allow augmented reality to play a major role in brands’ marketing! The game is expected to challenge young internet companies specialising in increasing foot traffic to businesses as the app offers store owners a feature called Lures to drive foot traffic. Since its release in the US last week, the number of users has surpassed dating app Tinder and its number of daily active users is set to surpass Twitter; its added over $7bn to parent company Nintendo’s market value!
