The Outnet is adding beauty to its commerce offering for the next holiday season. Starting on October 25th, the discount website will begin its digital holiday campaign and announce its 18 luxe beauty brands for sale. These include Lipstick Queen, Natura Bisse, By Terry, 11 Skin and Ren in the form of a series of beauty kits.
However, Andres Sosa, the site’s Director of Global Sales and Marketing, maintains that this is not a new category for The Outnet, as Net-a-porter did two years ago, when it introduced beauty to its line up, but it is a special offering for the holiday season. It isn’t a no though – if the product performs well, will the discount retailer add beauty in their offering for the future? This seems to be a test run for the site.
