Chief Executive Officer Matt Kaness wants to double the $150m business with physical stores, private-label clothes and international growth. ModCloth’s first brick-and-mortar shop is located in San Francisco. The clothes are meant to be tried on and ordered to customer’s homes, whilst accessories and unique vintage gear can be bought on the spot and taken home.
Kaness is pushing physical stores, new ModCloth-branded label lines, such as intimates, bridal, athletic wear, accessories and home goods, and more growth internationally. The business had $150m revenue in 2014, so it is not hard to see how the business can double.
