Burger chain McDonald’s has said it will create 5000 new jobs by the end of next year. The jobs are needed for the company’s new restaurants and extended opening hours, and will take the total number of employees in the UK to 115,000. McDonald’s sales have grown in 41 consecutive quarters, despite claiming they are experiencing challenging economic conditions. Their growth has been driven by investment and innovation in the restaurant experience, with over half of their stores now open 24/7 throughout the week.
