Marks & Spencer decelerates its international expansion plans

Marks & Spencer is decelerating its overseas expansion amidst economic crises in Russia and China. Last year, Chief Executive Marc Bolland planned to open 250 international stores over three years and increase international sales by a quarter and profit 40%.

Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, Executive Director of Marketing and International, says that the retailer is still committed to the countries but is rethinking its pace.
