LLoydsPharmacy to acquire more NHS hospital chemists as part of expansion plans

The Celesio-owned retailer is reportedly talking to health bosses about acquiring more hospital pharmacies to its existing offering. It already manages 40 pharmacies. Celesio’s UK Managing Director, Cormac Tobin, wants to alleviate pressure on the NHS by offering more healthcare solutions for the community.

LloydsPharmacy agreed a £125m deal with Sainsbury’s in July to acquire 281 of their pharmacies; four of these are located in hospitals.
