Lidl lets customers set their own prices through Twitter

Lidl customers are setting their own prices on Twitter! The discount supermarket has launched an unprecedented new scheme, allowing customers to decide upon the price of selected products. In their “social price drop”, the retailer will reduce prices continually the more customers tweet about a product. Lidl will begin the scheme with a Christmas lobster, dropping its original price of £5.99 further as more shoppers tweet about it. Lidl will present a different product every week in the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas to help their customers save money around the festive season!
