Lane Crawford confirms Hong Kong job cuts

Endaba Group

Lane Crawford has confirmed it will be implementing a new organisational structure to support its omnichannel business strategy. The restructuring has led to job cuts at the retailer, with a number of employees in Hong Kong losing their jobs. The 160-year-old company has reportedly announced it will be making 22 positions redundant out of a total 1500. The company’s restructuring could be a result of the declining Hong Kong retail sector. The value of total retail sales fell 10.5% in August 2016, compared to the same month last year.
