After Instagram’s implementation of the algorithm that orders posts based on “the likelihood you’ll be interested”, influencers have expressed concerns. Influencers use Instagram to promote a brand or product to their followers, creating a valuable revenue stream. By becoming less visible and with lower “likes” they’ll be less desirable for brands. Their large follower base will become less valuable if influencers can’t guarantee how many people will see their content. High engagement with content will be more important and brands will demand more rigorous analytics to prove ROI on paid posts
