Michael Kors

Daisuke Yamazaki has been appointed the role of President of Michael Kors Japan. Prior to this he was the Chief Executive of Roberto Cavalli Japan. He’s also held roles in the Alexander McQueen division of Gucci Japan and Georgio Armani Japan. His knowledge of the Japanese fashion market and expertise in managing international fashion brands will hopefully take the Michael Kors brand to the next level of success in the region.

Yahoo

Martha Nelson, former Editor-in-Chief of Time Inc., is now Yahoo Media’s Global Editor-in-Chief, as of today. She will help grow Yahoo’s 13 US and 30 international titles.

Farfetch

Danny Rimer, Jon Jamaluddin and Dana Evan have been added to Farfetch’s board of directors. Danny Rimer replaces Robin Klein as Investor Director. Jon Kamaluddin, ex-international Director of Asos.com, and Dana Evan, Venture Partner at Icon Ventures, both join as Non-Executive Directors, with the respective titles of Chairman of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

DKNY

Aliza Licht, Senior Vice President of Communications, will step down from her role in Autumn to pursue opportunities related to her first book launch, ‘Leave Your Mark’.

Oscar de la Renta

Erike Bearman, Senior Vice President of Global Communications, has left after six years at Oscar de la Renta. She now moves into consulting for communications and branding, with Oscar de la Renta as her first client.

Moda Operandi

Evelyn Kim is joining Moda Operandi as Senior Vice President of Marketing as of today. She was formerly the Chief Marketing Officer at Reed Krakoff. She is a number of key hires at the luxury e-commerce site as it grows its marketing and public relations team. in July, Souri Kim joined as the company’s first Vice President of PR and Communications.

Coca-Cola

James Quincey has been appointed the President and Chief Operating Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, effective immediately. He has been with Coca-Cola for 19 years and has served as the President of the European group since 2013, which covers 38 countries, helping expand its brand portfolio. Ahmet Bozer, Executive Vice President of Coca-Cola and President of Coca-Cola International will retire from his role also.

Avenue 32

Stephen Ayres has left his role as Head of Fashion at Liberty’s to join premium etailer Avenue 32 in an unconfirmed position. It is assumed he will take on the role of Fashion and Brand Director. This role has been vacant since Erin Mullaney left Avenue 32 in May to join Tom Ford as their Worldwide Director of Merchandising.

Debenhams

Savannah Miller is the newest Designer for Debenhams. They’re launching a new ranged called Nine in September as part of the Designers at Debenhams collections.

Pam Bartley, current Trading Director for Debenhams, is leaving at the end of this month for a new, unannounced role. Sara Stern, Director of Childrenswear and Heath and Beauty, will add Womenswear to her role in September.
