Andy Dunn, founder of the menswear company, is returning to the helm as Chief Executive Officer, as Francine Della Badia is stepping down. Dunn previously held the role for eight years before he handed it over to Della Badia. When he returns, his first priority is hiring a Chief Operating Officer.
Serge Brunschwig, the second-in-command for Dior’s menswear business, has been named President for Dior Homme. He has been a key deputy of Christian Dior Couture President and Chief Executive Officer, Sidney Toledano, since 2008, he assumes his new role September 1st and will also continue in his current role as Chief Operating Officer. His new responsibilities include further developing ready-to-wear and accessories for menswear.
Gina Boswell is replacing Graeme Pitkethly as General Manager for UK & Ireland. She is moving from New York to replace him on September 7th. Pitkethly joined Unilever in 2002, serving in different finance-led roles, lastly Senior Vice President of Finance for all geographies before he assumed the role of General Manager of Unilever for UK and Ireland last July. He is now replacing Jean-Marc Huët as the Chief Financial Officer.
Boswell has overseen Unilever’s Personal Care division in New York for the past four years. She was once named Marketer of the Year by Women’s Wear Daily. She is looking forward to “building on the strong foundations of Unilever UK brands” and Unilever is positive she’ll breathe new life into its UK and Ireland business, bringing in her market experience as growth has been dormant recently.
American Eagle Outfitters
Michael Leedy, current Chief Marketing Officer at American Eagle Outfitters, is leaving on September 15th. A replacement has not yet been announced.
House of Fraser
Pete Marsden has been named as the retailer’s Interim Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. Marsden joins after the Uday Kotla’s unexpected exit.
Chairman Ralph Waters is leaving the struggling supermarket chain next week after their profits plummeted. He will be replaced by Director Gordon Cairns on September 1st. This comes only two months after Grant O-Brien, Chief Executive and Managing Director, announced his retirement.
