Mamas & Papas
Richard Campbell, most recently Customer Director at Rank Group, has been named responsible for all aspects of Mamas & Papas’ marketing – Chief Marketing Officer. It is unclear whether this is a newly created role. Earlier in his career, Campbell was Head of Marketing at Debenhams.
They are continuing their reform plans, appointing new board members. Paul Charron has been named new Chairman of its board, formerly Chief Executive of Liz Claiborne, now known as Kate Spade. Charron will be joined by Susan Davidson, current Head of Scoop boutique and design house Zac Posen, and Bruce Fetter, who runs luxury women’s knitwear retailer St John’s Knits.
Wanda Gierhart, Neiman Marcus Group’s Chief Marketing Officer, is resigning soon to focus on other interests. Gierhart will help Neiman Marcus in their search for her replacement.
Simon Pickering, Trading Director for Fat Face is leaving the business after six years. His role is not currently being fulfilled, nor is he leaving the retailer for another position. His direct reports, Heads of Buying, Design and Merchandising, Kate Brown, Emma Shaw and Nick Stevenson respectively, will report into Anthony Thompson, CEO, in the meantime.
Marc Dolce is officially joining Adidas as their Vice President and Creative Director, having left his position at Nike, Global Design Director, in 2014.
Maureen Gray, Vice President of International Trade at Ralph Lauren is retiring. Her position is not being replaced. She is also the Chairwoman of the US Fashion Industry Association and will remain so until a new chair is elected later on this year.
Bonmarché has announced their new CEO this week, Helen Connolly. We had the pleasure of placing Helen in her new role. She is replacing Beth Butterwick, who is leaving the womenswear retailer to join Karen Millen in the same role. Helen was previously the Senior Buying Director for George @ Asda.
The healthy fast food chain has appointed McDonald’s former Senior Director John Upton as its new Managing Director.
