John Varvatos

Chief Executive Officer of John Varvatos Cristiano Quieti has stepped down from his position, a role he has held since February 2013. Before joining John Varvatos, Quieti was CEO of Diesel USA, where he spent 18 years. Quieti’s next move and his successor at the menswear company have not yet been announced.


London-based designer James Long has joined Iceberg as Creative Director of the brand’s menswear line. The designer’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection for the Italian fashion house will be revealed during Milan Fashion Week in January 2016. Long will continue showing his eponymous menswear line, which he launched in 2008.


Charlotte David has been appointed Executive Vice President of Communication of Hermès and a member of the Hermès International executive committee. Previously, David served in roles including General Manager and Head of Development, at communication agencies BETC, Mcann-Erickson, VCCP and Mother.

Forever New

Carolyn Mackenzie, Buying, Merchandising and Design Director for womenswear of New Look has left the business after 10 years to move to Australian womenswear retailer Forever New. Mackenzie will take up the newly created position of Brand Director at Melbourne-based Forever New in January. She is currently on gardening leave. New Look is currently looking for her replacement.

N Brown

Shop Direct’s Julie Donnelly is N Brown’s new Buying and Design Director for Womenswear. She is joining next spring and will report into Product Director Ralph Tucker. She will oversee buying and product design for JD Williams and its stablemate, Simply Be.
