Greggs reap rewards from increasing their healthy options

British bakery chain Greggs has reaped the rewards from their reinvention after increasing their range of healthy options. ‘Balanced Choice’ included the addition of flat whites, a wide selection of fresh salads and a more extension fruit range. Greggs, commonly known for its sausage rolls and doughnuts, have had to adapt to an increasingly health conscious consumer market, particularly with strong competition from established conscious rivals such as Pret-a-Manger and EAT. More and more food chains are having to adapt their offerings to match this growing shift in consumer behaviour.
