Anthony Thompson, Chief Executive, has changed around his senior management team as the retailor sets its sights on the US market and speeds ahead with its multichannel strategy. They have created a Multichannel Director role to help drive online growth; Mark Seager, former Ecommerce and Marketing Director has been appointed this role. Simon Greene is now taking on the role of International and Property Director, letting go of his UK retail responsibilities so that he can focus on their US growth.
After three years of research on property, financials, product feedback and their recent 2.7% increase in sales (£205.4M for the year ending in May this year) Thompson thinks now is the right time for the brand to expand internationally. They’ll be opening five to ten US stores across the next three years with a pause to assess their success. They are also aiming to open ten to twelve stores per year in the UK for the next three years.
