Facebook has launched their first tool for retailers that tracks bricks-and-mortar purchases! The social network giant has developed GPS tracking technology to allow retailers to track shoppers visiting their store after seeing their ad. It will also monitor which shoppers made a purchase in-store as a result of seeing the Facebook ad! Facebook have partnered with IBM, in-store sales system providers, to allow them to match retailer’s customer data with their data to see which adverts led to sales. Over 12 months, Facebook have exponentially strengthened their proposition to retailers!
