A number of staff, though to be around 50 roles in the UK, have been made redundant at Clarks, as a part of a global restructuring. 200 head office and warehouse staff are said to be impact globally, across many departments, such as HR, finance and design.
13 staff were made redundant in the UK last week and more cuts were announced this week.
Clarks is examining ways in which it can improve its customer experience and its efficiency as a business, “to ensure it remains a world class provider of quality footwear”.
They are still looking for Melissa Potter’s replacement, after she made a surprise exit in September last year, alongside Chief Financial Officer Robin Beacham. Thomas O’Neill is leading Clarks as Executive Chairman in the meantime.
