Claire’s Accessories Chief Executive Beatrice Lafon has resigned after 2 years at the helm. Reports state that the departure was without cause, and not due to any disagreement with the company. Lafon was appointed Chief Executive in 2014 and is best known as a turnaround specialist, having worked at Etam, TJ Hughes and Woolworths. She has played an instrumental role in the turnaround of the Claire’s European business over the past 3 years, lowering its prices and launching a transactional website in the UK. Lafon has been replaced by long-time board member Ron Marshall.
