This year Endaba has reduced its Carbon footprint from 16.99 tCO2 to 11.801 tCO2. As a company, we are determined to cut this even further. Our ethos is to reduce our CO2 emissions to do our bit to help combat climate change. Endaba has invested again in the Blue Venture Group, a non-profit organisation that works in Madagascar to offset carbon emissions. Their projects help communities and the environment that would not otherwise benefit from such schemes. By investing in and empowering these communities to become self-sufficient and carbon neutral, Endaba are supporting sustainability for future generations as well as offsetting all of their carbon emissions. Their investment will benefit the SW region of Befandefa; helping to distribute a range of solar powered stoves to remote, rural villages. The programme funds significant subsidies for the stoves, local staff and education & awareness campaigns. This will benefit the whole community, by preventing one of the most lethal killers in third world countries; respiratory infections caused by poorly ventilated homes. By taking part in this scheme we will offset our carbon emissions completely up to October 2009. |
